Saudi Arabia, China Sign Export Agreements for Dairy and Aquaculture Products

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China have signed two key export protocols, paving the way for Saudi dairy and aquaculture products to enter the Chinese market. The agreements were finalized during an official visit to Beijing by Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley from May 12 to 14.
The protocols were signed by Minister Alfadley on behalf of the Kingdom and by Head of the General Administration of Customs of China Sun Meijun. These agreements mark a significant step toward expanding trade—particularly in high-quality food products—and strengthening customs cooperation between the two nations.
Discussions during the meeting focused on enhancing trade in the dairy and aquaculture sectors, streamlining export procedures, and encouraging Saudi companies to expand their presence in the Chinese market. These efforts align with the Kingdom’s strategic goal of boosting national exports under the Saudi Vision 2030 economic diversification initiative.
Minister Alfadley praised the “fruitful and constructive” cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China, which he said had matured over the past seven years. He noted that the new protocols reflect growing trust between the two sides and will facilitate the entry of leading Saudi companies into the Chinese market.
