His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti, launched the Artificial Intelligence Platform for Animal Health, enabling the ministry to monitor the spread of animal diseases through detailed temporal and geographical data visualization, as well as providing real-time data and forecasts. This initiative is part of the ministry’s efforts to leverage modern technologies to achieve sustainability in the agriculture and livestock sectors.
The launch took place during the ministry’s participation in the LEAP Tech Conference 2025, organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones, Tahaluf Company, and the Investment Events Fund. The conference is being held in Riyadh from February 9 to 12.
The ministry explained that the AI Platform for Animal Health is an innovative system that utilizes artificial intelligence to analyze veterinary data, providing insights into veterinary visits, infections, and fatalities. It also predicts various animal disease cases through veterinary clinics. The platform aims to support decision-makers by enhancing veterinary care, increasing health awareness, reducing infections and fatalities among animals, and improving veterinary efficiency.
The ministry highlighted that the launch of the platform during LEAP aligns with its digital transformation strategy, which promotes the adoption of emerging and advanced technologies in the environment, water, and agriculture sectors. It also contributes to the growth of the livestock industry, supports animal owners and breeders, preserves animal health, and enhances the investment environment in the sector, while also strengthening the economy and diversifying the production base.
The ministry’s participation in LEAP Tech 2025 is part of its broader strategy to adopt innovative technologies and solutions, raise awareness about digital transformation within the environment sector, and enhance cooperation with the private sector to achieve food and water security, preserve natural resources, and promote environmental sustainability—all in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
