His Excellency Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, inaugurated a state-of-the-art poultry production and processing plant in Al-Majma\u2019ah Governorate, along with an advanced feed production plant in Al-Dahna Center, Shaqra Governorate, Riyadh Region. The projects aim to strengthen food security, improve operational efficiency, and support local communities through job creation and sustainable development initiatives, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.<\/p>\n
The inauguration ceremony, held at the Ministry\u2019s headquarters in Riyadh, was attended by His Excellency Amr Al-Dabbagh, Chairman of the Board of Tanmiah Food Company, along with senior ministry officials and company executives.<\/p>\n
Dr. Ali Al-Sheikhi, Assistant Undersecretary for Animal and Fisheries Resources, stated that these projects will have a major impact on improving quality, reducing production costs, and enhancing operational efficiency by adopting the latest global technologies. This will raise competitiveness among poultry companies and accelerate the sector\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n
He further noted that applying best international standards and practices in the Kingdom\u2019s poultry sector, along with the development of national poultry companies over the past five years, has contributed to activating the global \u201cSaudi GAP\u201d certification and adopting it to reinforce fair competition, thereby strengthening consumer trust in the private sector\u2019s ability to meet demand in both quality and supply.<\/p>\n
For his part, Mr. Amr Al-Dabbagh highlighted that investing in advanced infrastructure, adopting technology, and embracing sustainable practices will help build a strong and secure food system, while supporting the transformation of the Kingdom\u2019s poultry sector into a globally competitive industry. He added that the two new projects will contribute to food security, empower local communities, protect the environment, and build a healthier, more sustainable future.<\/p>\n
He also explained that the inauguration of these plants forms part of a strategic investment in Saudi Arabia\u2019s agri-food sector, enhancing the company\u2019s production efficiency and ability to deliver high-quality products. The Al-Majma\u2019ah 2 plant was designed to the highest global standards, with a production capacity of 13,500 birds per hour, and is equipped with a biological wastewater treatment system with a capacity of 6,000 cubic meters per day. The treated water will be used to irrigate tree farms as part of a greening program targeting the plantation of 150,000 trees in the area surrounding the facility.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Al-Dahna Advanced Feed Plant will enhance operational and logistical efficiency by supplying high-quality feed for poultry operations. In its trial production phase, it has a capacity of 40 metric tons per hour and features a fully automated production line and quality monitoring system. The integration of solar energy into the plant\u2019s operations is also under assessment.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that the poultry sector in Saudi Arabia continues to experience rapid growth and development, thanks to government support and investor-friendly incentives, along with initiatives from the National Agricultural Strategy, which have significantly boosted the sector\u2019s efficiency and productivity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
