Tanmiah Food Comapny <\/strong>has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Regional Voluntary Carbon Market Company (VCM)<\/strong>, marking an important step in the company\u2019s commitment to advancing sustainable practices and reducing its carbon footprint across the poultry sector.<\/p>\n

The MoU was signed by Zulfiqar Hamdani, CEO of Food Development Company<\/strong>, and Fadi Saadeh, CEO of the Regional Voluntary Carbon Market Company<\/strong>. The agreement enables Tanmiah Food Comapny to explore opportunities to participate in Saudi Arabia\u2019s voluntary carbon market and benefit from VCM\u2019s platform for trading certified carbon credits.<\/p>\n

The partnership supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030<\/strong> and the Kingdom\u2019s ambitions to achieve net-zero emissions. It also contributes to the implementation of Food Development Company\u2019s sustainability strategy<\/strong>, which includes measuring and managing carbon emissions, setting measurable reduction targets, improving energy efficiency, and adopting lower-carbon poultry production practices.<\/p>\n

Established in 2022 with the support of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Saudi Tadawul Group<\/strong>, the Regional Voluntary Carbon Market Company aims to develop a high-integrity market for certified voluntary carbon credits. Its platform enables companies to source and trade carbon credits from reliable sources, while also providing advisory services.<\/p>\n
