{"id":2230,"date":"2026-09-27T20:29:25","date_gmt":"2026-09-27T20:29:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saudipoultry.net\/?p=2230"},"modified":"2026-09-27T20:29:25","modified_gmt":"2026-09-27T20:29:25","slug":"agricultural-development-fund-finances-naqwa-with-sar-36-million-to-support-the-transition-to-sustainable-energy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saudipoultry.net\/?p=2230","title":{"rendered":"Agricultural Development Fund Finances Naqwa with SAR 36 Million to Support the Transition to Sustainable Energy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Agricultural Development Fund (ADF)<\/strong> has signed a financing agreement with the <strong>National Aquaculture Group (Naqwa)<\/strong> worth <strong>SAR 36 million<\/strong>, under the <strong>Liquid Fuel Displacement Program for the Agricultural Sector<\/strong>, which aims to support the transition toward more efficient and sustainable energy sources.<\/p>\n<p>According to the ADF, the financing is designed to <strong>enhance the operational efficiency of agricultural-sector companies, reduce operating costs, and lower environmentally harmful emissions<\/strong>, supporting the adoption of sustainable energy solutions and contributing to the Kingdom\u2019s transition toward a more efficient and sustainable agricultural sector.<\/p>\n<p>The program is being implemented in cooperation with the <strong>Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the Ministry of Energy<\/strong>, in partnership with the <strong>Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority and the Saudi Electricity Company<\/strong>. This reflects coordinated national efforts to support the transformation of the agricultural sector\u2019s energy system.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the ADF Board of Directors held its third meeting of the current fiscal year on <strong>16 September 2026<\/strong>, chaired by <strong>Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and ADF Chairman Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley<\/strong>, with the participation of board members.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the Board approved <strong>more than SAR 600 million in financing loans and credit facilities<\/strong> across several regions of the Kingdom to support projects in the <strong>red meat sector, supply chains, and food-processing industries<\/strong>, contributing to increased domestic production and strengthening food security.<\/p>\n<p>The decisions also included direct financing under the <strong>Basic Commodities Import Initiative<\/strong> for a number of agricultural products targeted under the Kingdom\u2019s Food Security Strategy, further reinforcing the Fund\u2019s role in supporting the agricultural sector and advancing the Kingdom\u2019s food security and sustainability objectives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Agricultural Development Fund (ADF) has signed a financing agreement with the National Aquaculture Group (Naqwa) worth SAR 36 million, under the Liquid Fuel Displacement Program for the Agricultural Sector, which aims to support the transition toward more efficient and sustainable energy sources.
