Regulatory Authorities Seize Facility Run by Arab Investor Selling Spoiled Chicken
Saudi Authorities have announced the discovery of a poultry facility in southern Riyadh, operated by an investor of Arab nationality, where chicken of unknown origin—expired and unfit for human consumption—was being used. The spoiled chicken was reportedly washed with cleaning agents and repackaged under fake, non-genuine brand labels.
Inspection and regulatory teams from the Ministries of Commerce and Environment, along with Riyadh Municipality and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, are continuing monitoring and tracking efforts, as well as carrying out ongoing inspection and enforcement actions against such products.
