Naqi Company announced the signing of a purchase agreement for 200,000 layer chicks from Al-Bayyad Farms Co. Ltd. as a first phase within the implementation plans for its poultry sector project.

In line with Naqi Water Company’s expansion strategy and its aim to diversify sources of income, and as part of the previously announced implementation stages of the company’s fully-owned poultry sector project, Naqi signed a contract to purchase 200,000 Hisex layer chicks, which are considered among the best chick-producing breeds. This marks the first stage of the project’s essential supply plan, within the framework of ongoing execution works.

This step aims to provide the necessary flocks to begin the rearing cycle and move toward commercial production once construction and operational works are completed. The production capacity resulting from this agreement is estimated at around 60 million eggs annually, and the agreement will also contribute to gradually increasing production capacity until it reaches the level aligned with the strategic plans announced to shareholders.

Throughout the project stages, the company has achieved advanced milestones, including the purchase of modern machinery and equipment, as well as the execution of infrastructure works and the construction of new poultry houses. Work is currently underway to complete the remaining execution stages to enhance the project’s operational efficiency.
