International Falcon Breeders Auction concludes in Saudi Arabia with sales exceeding $3.46M
Sale of most expensive falcon of year, Gyr Pure Super White, for $320,000 among the highlights
The International Falcon Breeders Auction 2025 in Saudi Arabia concluded with remarkable success, achieving total sales of more than $3.46 million.
Organized by the Saudi Falcons Club at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, the auction began on August 5 and ran for 21 days, attracting falconry enthusiasts and breeders from across the globe, according to club spokesperson Waleed Al-Taweel.
This year’s edition brought together 67 breeding farms from 23 countries, including 19 Saudi farms, in a dynamic and highly competitive setting. Specialized pavilions showcased falcon breeding farms, state-of-the-art falconry equipment, and innovations in the field.
Adding to its appeal, the event hosted a “Future Falconer” pavilion and offered interactive presentations on falcon care and training, further cementing its reputation as a premier destination for the global falconry community.
A total of 1,103 falcons were sold during the auction. Al-Taweel highlighted strong performance indicators compared to last year, with revenues up 23%, the number of falcons sold increasing 27%, participating countries up 21%, and breeding farms up 20%—all reflecting steady growth since the auction’s inception.
One of the auction’s highlights was the sale of the year’s most expensive falcon, a Gyr Pure Super White, which fetched 1.2 million riyals ($320,000).
“The auction has firmly established itself as a trusted platform that unites elite breeders and falconers from Saudi Arabia and beyond, encouraging knowledge exchange and opening new investment opportunities in this flourishing sector,” Al-Taweel said.
The Saudi Falcons Club continues its 122-day falconry season, featuring auctions, exhibitions, races, and championships.
