
Minister of Environment inaugurates the Saudi Agriculture Exhibition 2025 and witnesses the signing of 28 agreements with investments exceeding 3.5 billion riyals
His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, today in Riyadh, inaugurated the 42nd edition of the “Saudi Agriculture Exhibition 2025”, which will run for four days at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event features the participation of more than 446 entities and companies from 34 countries, including eleven official participations, showcasing the latest technologies, solutions, and innovations in plant, animal, and fish production. This reflects the significant development taking place in the agricultural sector in the Kingdom and its contribution to enhancing food security and achieving self-sufficiency for many crops and agricultural products, thereby supporting sustainable food production in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
His Highness Prince Saud bin Turki Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Riyadh Exhibitions Company Limited, explained that the Saudi Agriculture Exhibition represents a vital platform for exchanging experiences and ideas among all stakeholders in the agricultural sector. It highlights the latest technologies and innovations to increase agricultural production and transform food systems. He added that the rising climate and environmental challenges require everyone to work creatively and diligently to develop sustainable solutions that preserve resources and contribute to achieving sustainable development.
He also noted that the large participation in this exhibition reflects its international standing as a global platform that brings together expertise and opens avenues for cooperation in agriculture, food, and sustainability. He emphasized that agriculture is an important mission contributing to building a prosperous society and a sustainable economy. This exhibition serves as a launching point for the exchange of ideas and promising projects for the future of agriculture in the Kingdom and worldwide.
Following the inauguration, His Excellency toured the exhibition pavilions, which included various sectors such as plant production, farm and nursery management, agricultural and organic foods, poultry, livestock, dairy, animal feed, mills, aquaculture and its technologies, food processing and packaging, animal health, veterinary services, innovation and entrepreneurship, and workforce development.
During the exhibition, His Excellency witnessed the signing of 28 agreements and memoranda of understanding, with total investments exceeding SAR 3.5 billion, between various entities in the governmental, semi-governmental, and private sectors, the latter being a key partner in implementing many investment projects, as well as several global agricultural companies. These initiatives support the food and agriculture sector and drive economic growth. Additionally, His Excellency inaugurated the Agricultural Innovation Center to contribute to leading sustainable agricultural innovation in the Kingdom, achieving self-sufficiency, and optimizing natural resource utilization.
The Saudi Agriculture Exhibition aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s economic priorities, focusing on food security and sustainability while showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in plant, animal, and fish production. This reflects the sector’s major transformation and its growing contribution to economic growth, with its share of GDP reaching SAR 119 billion in 2024, projected to rise to around SAR 140 billion by 2030.
The exhibition is accompanied by the International Agriculture Future Summit, which highlights issues of food security and sustainability, featuring local and international speakers and global experts to exchange insights and innovative solutions supporting national ambitious plans in agriculture and food sustainability. It also hosts the 13th International Food Processing and Packaging Exhibition, the 7th International Aquaculture Exhibition, and the 30th International Food Products and Technologies Exhibition.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Agricultural Exhibition is organized by Riyadh Exhibitions Company Limited, continuing a legacy of more than four decades of active service in the Kingdom’s agricultural sector, establishing its position as the region’s leading specialized event in agriculture.
