Strategic Partnership: 12 MoUs Signed at the Saudi-Japan Investment Ministerial Forum

​The Saudi-Japan Investment Ministerial Forum, held under the “Invest Saudi” initiative, marked a significant milestone in deepening economic ties between Riyadh and Tokyo. The event witnessed the signing of 12 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) across various high-growth sectors, reflecting the shared ambitions of both nations.
​Key Areas of Cooperation
​The agreements span a wide range of strategic fields aimed at knowledge transfer and industrial localization, including:
​Advanced Technology: Space, technology, and telecommunications.
​Service & Infrastructure: Finance, education, and water management.
​Industrial & Food Security: Manufacturing, agriculture, energy, and heavy machinery.
​Strategic Objectives & Vision 2030                                                                                                                     ​The forum focused on aligning Saudi Vision 2030 with Japan’s new growth strategies. Central to the discussions were:-  ​Empowering the Private Sector: Facilitating access for leading companies to investment opportunities in both markets.
– Mega-Projects: Highlighting the progress of Saudi Arabia’s Giga-projects and exploring collaborative investment frameworks.
​- Qualitative Investment: Strengthening economic bonds to achieve the milestones of the “Saudi-Japan Vision 2030.”
​- High-Level Attendance, the forum featured a prominent lineup of decision-makers, including:

  • ​H.E. Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment.
  • ​H.E. Abdullah Al-Swaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
  • ​HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic Sports.
  • ​H.E. Ryosei Akazawa, Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry.

​The event also saw participation from senior government officials and representatives from major Saudi and Japanese corporations, all dedicated to translating these agreements into tangible projects that drive sustainable economic growth.
